Sar Cheshmeh hand-picked Tea, produced by Lo Tea, is a specialized machine made from the freshest young tea leaves handpicked individually from the tea gardens of Iran's renowned village, SarCheshmeh. This tea undergoes exclusive processing, resulting in an exceptional blend of Iran's finest whole-leaf tea. From cultivation, careful harvesting, processing, to packaging, every detail is meticulously considered to achieve the best quality black tea from Iran's tea bushes.
To truly appreciate the nuances of this exceptional tea, let's embark on a brief journey to the charming village of 'Sar cheshme.' Nestled within the scenic mountains of Lahijan county, this picturesque village sits at an altitude of 400-600 meters above sea level, surrounded by lush tea plantations that embrace the essence of every season. The cool and humid climate, coupled with ample sunlight during the growing season, imparts a unique character to the tea leaves and bestows an exclusive taste to this region's tea. Notably, the abundance of natural springs in this area serves as a precious resource for irrigating the tea gardens during the summer, making tea cultivation a cherished ancestral occupation for many families here.
At our tea estate, nestled in the heart of pristine Hirkan's nature, we have meticulously chosen one of the finest tea gardens to cultivate 1000 Whole Leaf Specialty Tea. This family-run estate, nurtured by seasoned tea farmers, ensures the utmost health and vitality of the tea bushes through proper harvesting and annual pruning. The fertile soil is regularly tested before each spring, guaranteeing its richness and sustaining the superior quality of our tea.
Harvested just five to six days after the young tea leaves have reached the ideal stage of two leaves and a bud, our skilled tea pickers hand-select each leaf. Though hand-picking demands time and effort, it is the most precise method, renowned worldwide for ensuring superior taste and fragrance. Younger leaves have higher catechin content, enhancing the aromatic notes of the tea. Moreover, hand-picking protects the tea bushes from the damages often caused by machinery, securing the quality of future harvests.
Once harvested, the leaves are transported to our state-of-the-art processing facility, where they undergo a series of specialized techniques, meticulously chosen to ensure a tea that caters to the taste preferences of our esteemed 'Lo Tea' patrons. Our final product, Whole Leaf Specialty Tea, embodies the harmonious combination of all parts of the harvested leaves, carefully processed and oxidized to perfection.
